From May 4 to 8, 2026, President Herbert Scheibner, in his capacity as Special Representative of the Austrian Federal Government for Austria\u2019s candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council, visited Cameroon, Chad, and the Central African Republic. During the trip, he held talks with political representatives on regional security issues, bilateral relations, and Austria\u2019s candidacy for the UN Security Council in 2027\u201328. In the Central African Republic, he also held talks with President Faustin-Archange Touad\u00e9ra.<\/p>\n
