From November 7 to 8, 2019, EICTP attended the Regional Conference on “Prevention of Radicalization to Terrorism: Regional Policy Responses and Risk Mitigation”, co-organized by the Government of Hungary and the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), in Budapest, Hungary. This conference was the fifth in a series of conferences by UNOCT partnering with Member States in different regions aimed at strengthening regional co-operation on common priorities to counter terrorism and to prevent violent extremism. Bringing together around 145 participants from Member States, international and regional organizations, UN agencies, NGOs and civil society institutions, EICTP was able to share practical experiences, exchange best practices and join the common dialogue on counter-terrorism strategies and goals together with high-level officials and experts from all over the world
