1st Autumn Symposium: Current Developments in International Terrorism

Federal Chancellor Karl Nehammer (then Minister of the Interior) and Rector of Danube University Krems Mag. Friedrich Faulhammer invited to the first autumn symposium on the current developments in terrorism on November 8th.

EICTP senior researcher and Scientific Director and Coordinator of the Research Cluster “Counter-Terrorism, Countering Violent Extremism and Intelligence” at Danube University Krems, Dr. Nicolas Stockhammer, also took part in the panel discussion. The topics of the event were Islamist extremism and right-wing extremism, among other things in connection with the pandemic. According to Nehammer, international cooperation and science should serve state security as important pillars in the fight against terrorism.
